History

For centuries, Maniago, Italy has been known for producing some of the world’s finest cutlery. The Alexander company started building on this tradition in 1907 as a part of the Coricama firm in Maniago, then becoming a company in its own right in 1972. Their high quality line of specialized knives and gourmet kitchenware has made them one of the best-known names in not only Manigo’s cutlery district, but across Italy as well.

Craftsmanship

Alexander produces both stamped and forged knives, and every blade is made of wear spot and corrosion resistant stainless steel. They are carefully designed for their intended use, whether it’s cutting vegetables or bread, carving a roast, or preparing fish. Alexander’s expert craftsmen find the perfect balance between the blade and handle, as well as just the right edge. Before leaving the factory, all knives are tested for durability and quality, ensuring only the finest product will reach the customer.
